Have you ever walked into a guitar shop or
looked in a magazine and said, “I like the body shape and finish on
this one, but the neck and pickups on this one?” Now is your chance to
have exactly what you want. Tell us what you like and we will create it
for you.
Welcome to Halvy Custom Creations. We are a guitar shop
that custom
builds each guitar to reflect the individuality of each client. You
will see the Halvy name on the neck or body of each guitar that we
create.
We are located outside of the small town of Houston in the
Southeastern
corner of Minnesota. Our area was recently hit by the disastrous floods
of August 2007 and again in June 2008. The area is still recovering,
but with our strong work-ethic we will come back. Fortunately, everyone
knows how to swim pretty well in these parts.
We offer a wide variety of wood, hardware, and pickup
options and will
build your guitar to suit your taste. All of our guitars are made from
scratch from hand selected, kiln dried lumber that is hand cut and hand
shaped to order. Many guitars are created with the use of a CNC
machine. We do not do this. Our guitars are hand shaped to match the
owners touch and style.
One of our specialties is inlays on the body or neck using
Mother of
Pearl, Abalone, stone, or wood. You can select your wood from our
collection, or if you have a piece of your own, that is properly kiln
dried, we can also use it. We also offer individual bodies or necks
that can be built to your customized specifications.
My uncle, Chuck Halvorson, and I began this business to
provide
one-of-a-kind custom built electric guitars along with other custom
built woodwork items. We would love to hear from you.
